Biography:
Jean Main holds a Diploma in Family Historical Studies and has been a professional genealogist and research agent for some years. In addition to her membership of AAGRA she is also a member of the following organisations:
- The Military Historical Society of Australia
- Society of Australian Genealogists
- Heraldry and Genealogical Society of Canberra
The Military Historical Society of Australia has presented her with a Certificate of Appreciation for her talk on how to best research military ancestors and the Heraldry and Genealogical Society of Canberra awarded her a Commendation for the Best Article for 2004 published in The Ancestral Searcher. She has also published a number of books and book reviews.
Jean is able to undertake genealogical research in all States of Australia and is accredited to the Australian War Memorial, the National Library of Australia, the National Archives of Australia and the Noel Butlin Archives Centre at the A.N.U.
