AAGRA Members Featured in Descent Magazine

The December 2025 issue of the Society of Australian Genealogists’ (SAG) Descent magazine features a series of articles profiling the diverse paths researchers take to become professional genealogists. We are delighted to announce that two of our own members shared their personal stories in this edition.
  • Rachel Croucher, AAGRA Accredited Genealogist, authored “Digital Inclusion benefits genealogists of all abilities.” Rachel explores her educational path and the significant impact assistive technologies have had on her career, highlighting how these tools benefit not only genealogists with disabilities, but genealogists of all abilities.
  • Judy Purkiss, AAGRA Accredited Genealogist, shared “My Journey to become a Professional Genealogist.” Judy details how she “fell” into genealogy and the subsequent steps she took through education, AAGRA accreditation, and establishing her own business.
