It is with sadness we report the death of our long-standing member, Ray Thorburn, on 22 April 2022.  Ray was a committed member of AAGRA for many years.  He was also a founding member of the Australian Genealogical Education Centre (now known as the Kiama Family History Centre) for 18 years. Ray was also awarded an OAM in 2011 for his “service to the community of Kiama, particularly through the preservation of local history”.  He will be deeply missed in the history and genealogy world and, on behalf of all AAGRA members, we pass our condolences to his family and friends.
