Business Name: Times Past Family Histories
Biography:
I am the founder of Times Past Family Histories and a professional genealogist based in Orange,
New South Wales.
My interest in genealogy began as a teenager before online databases became widely available,
I spent many hours researching in libraries, archives, and family history centres, using
microfiche, electoral rolls, newspapers, parish registers, certificates, and original records. This
hands-on experience gave me a strong appreciation for careful, evidence-based research.
Today, I bring more than 30 years of family history research experience to my work. I hold a
Certificate Course in Genealogy Studies from the Society of Australian Genealogists and a
Diploma of Family History from the University of Tasmania, combining traditional methods with
modern digital resources.
My research goes beyond names, dates, and family trees. I explore immigration, military, land,
education, court, coronial, newspaper, and archive records to build a richer picture of an
ancestor’s life. I have a particular interest in Australian family history and migration stories.
Through Times Past Family Histories, I help clients with family history research, brick-wall
challenges, record retrieval, family story writing, and preserving personal and family legacies for
future generations.
