AAGRA President Dr Dianne Snowden AM spoke on the above topic in August 2023.  Rajah was a ship that carried convict women to Van Diemen’s Land in 1841.  The quilt which has survived was gifted to the National Gallery of Australian in 1989.

Libraries Tasmania recorded Dr Snowden’s talk and luckily for us, have made it available on YouTube, so if you would like to hear more on the quilt and women who made it on their journey to Australia, click here .
